Shameless Self-Promotion: Share Your Research to Make an Impact
Social media and research collide. Attend this workshop to learn how to make the most of online platforms researchers use for social interaction and promoting their work. In addition to sharing tips for networking and increasing the visibility of your research, we'll discuss the pros and cons of various platforms such as Academia, ResearchGate, Humanities Commons, and Twitter.
The workshop may use slides, group discussion, sticky notes, and white boards. If you need assistance to fully participate, please contact the instructors in advance (mno@iastate.edu and aelder@iastate.edu).
