Introduction to Patent Searching
Patents are some of the most challenging documents to find, yet the information they contain is vital for anyone hoping to invent a new product or commercialize an idea. In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of patent searching: the key components of patent documents that are useful for searching, types of patent search (and when you really do need a lawyer), free search tools, and basic strategies for finding relevant patents. This is a beginner level workshop; no prior experience is needed and everyone is welcome.
