Creating an Academic Portfolio Website with GitHub Pages

Learn how to create a polished, professional portfolio website hosted for free on GitHub Pages. Participants will receive an introduction to GitHub and GitHub Pages while creating and tailoring a fully functional academic website, including adding a headshot and CV if desired. Attendees will leave the session with their own live website and the skills to create and edit Markdown pages that showcase their research, experience, and academic accomplishments on a customizable web platform. No programming experience is required, all technical backgrounds are welcome.
