ISU Repair Cafe
Join us for an evening of empowered mending!
Repair Café returns to ISU on Oct. 22, 2025, from 4- 7 p.m. in the atrium of the Student Innovation Center (SICTR).
This free community event, sponsored by the University Library, Office of Sustainability, and Student Innovation Center is where volunteers help repair broken items to give them a longer life cycle. Repair Café aims to reduce waste, share tools and resources, teach basic maintenance, and help build self-reliance skills in our community. There’s no charge for any repairs during a Repair Café event.
Items eligible for repair at this event include:

Bikes/Skateboards

Jewelry and Accessories
-
Clothing and Mending
-
Small Home and Kitchen Appliances

Computers and Laptop software
Campus and community volunteers will be on hand to assess repair needs and complete eligible repairs on-site. While not required, participants are encouraged to bring replacement parts and repair materials (when possible) otherwise volunteers will make repairs with the best materials available.
