Grad students: Everything you need to know about the library but were afraid to ask

In this workshop designed for graduate students and postdocs from all disciplines, attendees will learn how to find dissertations, influential research articles, and important journals in their subject area! In this active learning and hands-on workshop, attendees will explore 5 essential databases and practice using them. They will also find out who is their subject librarian and learn about library services and tools that can facilitate their research and writing. Examples include: Interlibrary Loan, LibKey Nomad and Zotero. Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions throughout this interactive, informal session and tailor their explorations to their own topics. This workshop will be offered twice – once in-person and once online. Registration will be required for either session. In-person attendees can either bring their own laptop or use library computers.
