We partnered with Student Government, Graduate and Professional Student Senate, University Worklife and Family Services, and the ISU Daily to offer a family-friendly space in Parks Library for ISU students, faculty, and staff with children. We recognize the needs parents face while studying, researching, and using library resources, including the need for child-friendly spaces on campus where they can work with their children nearby.
The Family-Friendly Room, located on the lower level, is a reservable space with child-sized furniture, computers with educational software, drawing surfaces, and toys for children’s use. Children of all ages are welcome in all public areas of the library; any child under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
